A Calorie Is Not A Calorie, Why? Calorie Density! 
 
CALORIE DENSITY: 
What is calorie density?  
~The number of Calories in a given weight of food (see pic below)
~Combinations of vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc help our food process more easily, absorb more nutrients, excrete more toxic was via fiber so more of the calories get used up or excreted if needed!
Low calorie density= Plant foods largely have the lowest calorie density (1)
 
Why Is This Important? 
  1. You get to Eat MORE food for LESS calories
  2. You get MORE nutrients per calorie
  3. Full Faster and LONGER
  4. Reduced weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, chronic diseases, cancer, chronic diseases and increased overall health and well-being. (2)

 

      Calorie density is the number of calories in a given weight of food. Calorie density is critical to understand if you're looking for weight loss, healing, stabilization, and/or improving overall health. Eating low calorie-dense foods helps you increase nutrient intake, decrease weight, and stop the calorie counting! Plant-foods tends to largely be the lowest calorie-dense foods vs. your typical American diet by far. Processed foods are largely the highest calorie-dense foods due to all the added sugar, saturated fat, trans fats, salt, harmful toxins, oils, preservatives, and other harmful ingredients and toxins. Processed foods and animal foods have high levels of toxins and heavy metals such as: dioxins, other POPS, lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, for a start! The typical American diet gets 58% of all calories from ultra-processed foods! (3) Also, over 70% of the grocery stores are filled with ultra-processed foods! (I call them Fake Foods) (4)  
 
Ditching the crap and switching to plant foods foods will improve your overall health and any conditions or symptoms you may experience. Food LITERALLY is our fuel for our gas tank! Would you put cheap/dirty oil in your new 4wd SUV? Heck no, I'm not putting that ish in mine! So Ditch the processed food and make sure you're fueling up with low calorie-dense dense foods from plants! The thing I LOVE the most about low calorie-dense foods, is that you can eat Much More (until you're full at least) and there is NO COUNTING CALORIES EVER AGAIN! This is why I believe the plant-based diet is shown to be extremely healthy, because most (if not all) of plants have a low calorie-density, High nutrients, and High fiber. Which means you're body gets more of what it needs, your body excretes more toxic waste due to fibers ability to cling on to them to excrete, and you can eat until you're full! Always! Which also means NO STARVING YOURSELF again with another silly diet that doesn't contain the nutrients you really need to thrive long-term. So that's pretty much it, when you stick with plants, you will NEVER Have to Diet Again! 😃 So Eat em up and live your life with EASE.
