BUT WHY? 

Due to the unavoidable toxin and heavy metal content of our foods, such as arsenic, mercury, cadmium, glyphosate (round up), etc: (#20)

    Many of you may be surprised to hear that nearly (or arguably all) of our food and drinks these days are TEEMING with toxins and heavy metals! A recent shocking example is the dangerous levels of arsenic in chicken and rice (and all rice products which is in nearly all baby food) which has had such high levels of arsenic that the FDA reduced their recommendation of consumption greatly (no more than 1-3 servings x week which is about 1.5 cups at the maximum). 

For example: "The testing found 95% of sampled baby foods contained lead, 73% contained arsenic, 75% contained cadmium and 32% contained mercury." (CNN.com) What's even worse, is the baby food was not even recalled! Even when found to contain dangerous levels, most products Still stay on the shelves!

    Many/arguably all other food items, even plants and our water, often have Dangerous levels of these toxins and we have NO Idea because there are No regulations on the amount of toxins/metals that are acceptable set by the FDA (The US and rest of the world are starting to set regulations due to the severity and prominence of the issue but the US is far behind). As expected though right? What would happen if we all found out we are eating arsenic, lead, and mercury with every meal and that was the Root Cause of much of our disease and suffering?! The world would go into total chaos! Not me though, I dove DEEEEEEP, I've spent endless hours researching this issue. The extent of this problem makes me sick to my stomach and the lack of awareness breaks my heart. I think of my little innocent 2 year old niece that is eating these toxins and hindering her growth and development 😓 BUT there are many things that we Can do to minimize intake.

    Not only are there no regulations, but producers are not required to test for these toxins, and even worse, many have known about dangerous levels in their products and are Still allowed to sell to consumers without disclosure. There are some beginnings of change though as the word gets out! For example: California now has the "Prop65" warning that requires producers to label any product that is above the "acceptable" limits of heavy metals like lead. AND YES, "acceptable limits" because it is impossible at this point in time to consume anything Without any toxins/metals at all. It's in our water, our soil, our livestock, and our air. My precious plants have all been contaminated to the point where I have to be concerned with even over-eating the healthiest foods such as flax, broccoli, cilantro, oregano, arugula, beets, spinach! 😢 (Although, the fiber and antioxidants helps reduce the amount of toxins absorbed compared to processed foods and animal products) Unfortunately, there Is no Safe level of heavy metals and arguably toxins that we can consume without it causing Some form of damage to our bodies. (videos and information on effects below) Often irreversible, as such with lead (which gets stored in your bones and tissues and takes over 30 years to eliminate from your body). These toxins target the endocrine system (and directly or indirectly nearly all systems in the body). These toxins also have a great effect on our mental health and is believed to be the root cause of why depression and anxiety are so prevalent today. These metals and toxins alter our brain chemistry and often can be the root cause of those "unexplainable" mental health conditions, autoimmune diseases, medical conditions, and various symptoms; especially brain fog and fatigue. Here are some general symptoms but each toxin/metal  will have their own symptoms:

Body Systems:

  • Digestive system: Constipation, nausea, poor appetite, bloating
  • Nervous system: Damage – numbness or tingling at the extremities, tremors, lack of coordination/balance
  • Body: fatigue, muscle or joint pain, heavy feeling
  • Cardiovascular: high blood pressure
  • Kidneys: abnormal function or damage
  • Reproductive: infertility, ED, chronic infections 
  • Immune: reduced immunity, sick often
  • Endocrine:  
  • Brain: Memory loss, headaches, irritability, depression, anxiety, mood swings

Generalized Symptoms: (each toxin/heavy metal has its own symptoms)

  • Abdominal pain.
  • Chills or a low body temperature,  Cold hands and feet
  • Dehydration.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Metallic taste in mouth
  • Digestive problem 
  • Feeling weak.
  • Chronic fatigue
  •  Loss of memory
  • Frequent colds and flus
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Arthritis 
  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Numbness or prickly sensation in your hands and feet.
  • Tremors
  • lack of concentration
  • Gingivitis and periodontal disease
  • Allergies

  1. We must not consume more than we need to live healthily
  2. Eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full 
  3. Trust and Listen to your body…believe me, it knows what it’s doing! 
  4. Excess calories= excess fat= excess chronic diseases
